A CLUSTER OF soggy, stained and smelly wipes were pulled from the village of Diamond’s sewer system this week. Mayor Terry Kernc is asking residents to stop flushing all types of wipes. Wipes are not manufactured to breakdown like toilet paper and as they pass through the municipal sewer system get caught in the lift station pumps or cluster causing sewage backups.
