Officials in Braidwood have given the thumbs up to two new purchases for maintenance around the city in both winter and warm weather months.
City administrator Tony Altiery announced during the Nov. 23 regular meeting of the City Council that the public works department would be investing in some new equipment.
“We are looking at a salt spreader and a new lawnmower,” Altiery said. “Most of it is in the budget, and also we can use approximately 38% of the cost of the equipment out of TIF.”
Altiery said the purchases will replace some of the city’s aging equipment.
