A special use permit for a property at 130 E. Main St. was granted during the July 28 Braidwood City Council meeting, despite the recommendations against it by the city’s Plan Commission.
Braidwood City Council voted unanimously to approve a special use permit for a building at 130 E. Main St. that would allow interested buyers Michael and Jennifer Votta to continue to operate it as a residential multi-family dwelling.
The building has been used as an apartment building for the last 60 years, according to Votta and his attorney Gary Mueller.
