The Wilmington varsity softball team suffered a loss on Friday, as they struggled against a solid pitcher during a 12-2 five-inning affair against Dwight.
Dwight got their offense rolling early, and the Lady ‘Cats were a bit late to get going, facing an eight-run deficit heading into the third frame.
Wilmington registered their first run of the game in the third frame off an RBI double from Ava Narine, plating Bella Egizio.
The Lady ‘Cats also added one more run in the fifth with an RBI from Katie Kucharski, plating Narine.
