When word got out that Reed-Custer High School was opening its doors to start summer conditioning, Comets athletes stormed the school eager to get going.
It also brought an end to the constant phone calls for football coach Gavin Johnston.
“Oh yeah, every day there was someone on my phone,” said Johnston. “Hey coach, I saw this is happening. This is happening. Can we do this?’
When the Comet players saw the announcement about Phase 3, they kept pushing the issue to get back on the field.
