Audrey Neely

WILMINGTON—Audrey Ellen Neely, 80, of Wilmington, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 1, 2019 at Riverside Medical Center in Kankakee.
Born March 2, 1938 in Shelbyville, IL, Audrey Ellen was a daughter of William Wesley and Eva Gertrude (Eaton) Mansfield. She was raised in the Shelbyville area and went on to marry James E. Neely, who preceded her in death on July 13, 1990. A woman of devout faith, Audrey was a member of Wilmington Church of Christ, and her most recent employment entailed working in housekeeping at Embassy Care Center in Wilmington. She was a den mother for Cubs Scouts, a Mary Kay Cosmetic representative, and enjoyed babysitting for friends and neighbors.
Survivors include her children: Vanessa (Thomas) Krueger, of Godley and Jimmy (Kelly) Neely, of Shelbyville; seven grandchildren: Audrea Lopaz, Georgieanna Brainard, Thomas Krueger Jr., Brooke Krueger, Keven Neely, Ashley Neely, Sylvia Neely, Samantha Price and Katy Price; 16 great-grandchildren, two sisters, Jesse Bailey and Natalle Mansfield; two brothers, Clarence Eugene Mansfield and William Mansfield Jr., and numerous nieces and nephews.
Audrey was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Jim and two sisters.
Funeral services were held Sunday, Jan. 6, 2019 at Baskerville Funeral Home, 700 E. Kahler Rd. in Wilmington. Cremation rites were accorded following the services, and inurnment was in Oakwood Cemetery, Wilmington, where Audrey was laid to rest with her parents.
