Brian Hartman

WILMINGTON—Brian Keith Hartman, 51, of Wilmington and Crystal Lake, passed away Sept. 2, 2019 in Thailand, where he had most recently been living.
Brian was born on Feb. 27, 1968 in Joliet, graduated from Wilmington High school, then served the United States Navy from 1986-1992, three years active duty, stationed in Pearl Harbor, and three years in the reserves. He earned an associate's and a bachelor's degree in engineering technology and a master's in business administration from DeVry University and Keller Graduate School of Management respectively. He spent much of his working career as an engineer traveling to and working in China.
He is survived by his mother, Helen Hartman; his daughters, Claire and Emma Hartman; their mother, Debra Hartman; his brother, Tom (Debbie) Hartman and their son, Adam.
He was preceded in death by his father, Jerry Hartman.
Brian will be remembered by his family and many great friends, here and abroad, for his zest for life.
He was laid to rest by his family at the Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood.
