City suspends water disconnections, waives new late fees

We know that COVID-19 is creating many challenges and while the situation is changing rapidly, the city of Wilmington has taken additional steps to meet the community's needs including: Suspending service disconnections for residents who cannot pay and waiving new late payment charges through at least May 1.

"We understand that many residents may experience a financial strain due to the slowdown in the economy from COVID-19. The last thing we want our is residents to worry about now is whether they will be without water," said Mayor Roy Strong.
