David Davy

WILMINGTON— David D. Davy, 90, of Wilmington, passed away peacefully Thursday, Oct. 11, 2018 at his home.  
David was born May 10, 1928, in Barrington, to Albert and Mary A. (nee Malek) Davy.  
He was a Veteran of the United States Army Airforce having served during World War II.  David was a member of the VFW Post #5422, American Legion Post # 1901, and fifty year Master Mason with the Masonic Lodge #208 A.F. & A.M., all of Wilmington.  
Donald was a life member and retired from Local #150 Operating Engineers Union in Countryside.  
Surviving are his wife of fifty years, Mary (nee Krauss) Davy, of Wilmington, whom he married Nov. 11, 1967 in Wilmington; two sons: Leslie Davy and Donald Davy, both of Fox River Grove; two step-sons: Richard Princko, of Wilmington, and George (Teresa) Princko, of Joliet; his twin sister, Doris; and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.  
Preceding him in death were his parents; two children, Candice and Russell; and two brothers, Bill and Jim Davy.  
Cremation rites have been accorded. A  memorial visitation will be at the R.W. Patterson Funeral Home & Crematory in Braidwood on Tuesday, Oct. 16, 2018 from 10 a.m. until noon, with the memorial service proceeding.  
Inurnment with military honors will follow at Oakwood Cemetery in Wilmington.  
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in his name may be directed to the Grundy County Bank to be applied to the VFW for veteran dinners.
