Debbie Glenn

WILMINGTON—Debbie Glenn, 64, of Wilmington. Passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday morning, March 28, 2018 at Riverside Medical Center in Kankakee.
Born Jan. 28, 1954 in Hinton, West Virginia, Debra Lynn was a daughter of William Elbert “Ebb” and Virginia Ruth (Forren) Wickline. She was raised in Joliet and graduated from Joliet Central High School with the Class of 1972.
On April 10, 1976, Debbie married Thomas Glenn in Joliet, and together they moved to Wilmington where they raised their family. Debbie was formerly employed with Begler’s Auto in Wilmington, where she worked as a secretary.
As an avid read, Debbie enjoyed countless Harlequin novels. She also loved to travel and in her free time took pleasure in simply watching the birds. Family was always most important to Debbie, and she cherished spending time with those close to her.
Survivors include her husband of 42 years, Tom; son, Daniel Glenn (Elizabeth Holick) of Morris and daughter, Rachel Glenn (T.J. Swarts) of Lincoln; five grandchildren: Charles Faulkner, Leah Glenn, Blake Faulkner, Brandon Glenn and Corinne Ewenson; one sister, Myra (Bob) Parrish of Braidwood; one brother-in-law, Gerald (Pat) Glenn of Grand Haven, MI; one niece, Jessica Parrish; three nephews, Darrell (Renee) Parrish, Cris (Mandy) Glenn and Rick Glenn, and numerous aunts and uncles, including Louis DeAcetis, as well as cousins.
Debbie was preceded in death by her parents, and her father and mother-in-law: Francis and Frances Glenn.
The family will receive friends for a visitation on Tuesday, April 3, 2018 from 3 p.m. until time of funeral service 7 p.m. at Baskerville Funeral Home, 700 East Kahler Road in Wilmington.
Cremation rites will be accorded following the visitation and a private inurnment will be held at a later date.
