Drama Club to stage Miscast Cabaret

COAL CITY HIGH School Drama Club will present its inaugural Miscast Cabaret on Saturday in the Coal City Performing Arts Center. The event will feature 16 theatre department students performing songs in which they would never be cast. Among those scheduled to take the stage are (from top) Griffin Johnson, Riley Nevin, Addey Connor and Dylan Ludes.

Students from Coal City’s Theatre Department will perform songs from roles in which they would never be cast as Coal City High School’s Drama Club presents its inaugural Miscast Cabaret.
The fundraiser to support Drama Club activities will take place at 7 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 25 in the Coal City Performing Arts Center. Refreshments will be served during intermission.
Taking the stage for this first ever event are Coal City High School students Shana Kelly, Zoe Smith, Addey Connor, Gabe Ludes, Alli Hausman, Kaylee Groves, Dylan Ludes, Megan Thayer, Griffin Johson, Riley Nevin, Brecken Johnson and Izzy Kostbade.
Along with middle school students Mason Natyshok, Bella Byers, Stephen Byers and Ava Houston.
Featured songs will come from musicals that include Hamilton, Waitress, Beetlejuice, Kinky Boots, Newsies, Frozen, Aida and Dear Evan Hansen to name a few.
General admission tickets are $10 per person and can be purchased in advance at ccmiscast.brownpapertickets.com or at the door beginning one hour prior to the show.
