Holly Zykwa

WILMINGTON—Holly Amanda Zykwa, 77, of Wilmington, formerly of Alsip, IL, passed away Thursday, March 19, 2020 at Morris Hospital.
Born Dec. 3, 1942 in Chicago, she was the daughter of Harold and Helen (nee Kwiatkowski) Minster. Holly was a member of the Immaculate Conception Church in Braidwood. She formerly worked for R.W. Whittington in Alsip for many years and also volunteered for the non-profit organization United Way for 25 years. She also was a manager for Wal-Mart in Bridgeview, IL.
Surviving are her husband of 58 years, Lawrence Zykwa, who she married Oct. 14, 1961 at St. Christina's Catholic Church in Chicago; four children: Michael (Sharon) Zykwa, of Wilmington; Allen (Kim) Zykwa, of Tinley Park; Valerie Mitchell, of Wilmington, and Deneen (Eric) Pradin, of Glendale Heights, IL; six grandchildren: Nicole (Justin) Wilhelmi, Eric Peterson, Samantha Mitchell, Nicholas Mitchell, Connor Peterson and Christopher Pradin; and one great-granddaughter, Josephine Wilhelmi. Cremation rites were accorded and memorial services will be held at a later date.
