Judith Homa-Larsen

COAL CITY—Judith Homa-Larsen, 64, of Coal City and formerly of Alexandria, MN, passed away Friday, Sept. 6, 2019 at Morris Hospital.
Born July 6, 1955 in Hillsboro, IL, Judith Ann was a daughter of John Homa and the late Rosemary K. (nee Shelton) Sayers. She was raised in Coal City, attended Assumption Grade School and Coal City High School.
One who loved the outdoors, Judith enjoyed spending time at the Coal City Area Club, fishing and camping. She took pleasure in gardening, both flowers and vegetables, as well as cooking. In recent years Judith took on gaming, and it provided a great outlet, especially during her illness.
Survivors include her father, John Homa, of Eau Claire, WI; step-father, Steve Sayers, of Coal City; four children: James (Denise) Womack, of Orland Park and Mike (Carrie) Larsen, Cary Totz and Toby Totz, all of Minnesota; five grandchildren: Zack, Mia, Ethan, Anna and Victoria and two sisters: Julie (Chris) Kuntz, of Minnesota and Jennifer (Dan) Ewer, of Wisconsin.
Judith was preceded in death by her mother, Rosemary Sayers on May 20, 2016.
Cremation rites will be accorded.
The family will receive friends for a memorial visitation and celebration of life on Thursday, Sept. 12, 2019 between the hours of 2 and 4 p.m. at Reeves Funeral Home, 75 N. Broadway, one block north of IL Route 113 in Coal City.
Preferred memorials may be made as gifts in Judith’s memory to a cancer research organization of the donor’s choosing.
