Laurin “Ray” Blasier

ALLENTOWN, PA—Laurin “Ray” Blasier, 89, 20 year resident of Allentown, PA, formerly of Wilmington, passed away Sept. 8, 2018 in Waco, TX.
Born Nov. 26, 1928 in Oneida, NY, he was the son of Susie Stewart and Jasper Blasier.
Ray was a musician and educator. He loved working on cars, was a consummate handy man and enjoyed woodworking.  Ray caught the running bug in his early 50’s and began running competitively. He was a long time member of the Chicago Area Running Association (CARA) and was inducted into the 2005 CARA Runners' Choice Circuit Hall of Fame.
He is survived by his children: Sue (Jim Gleason), David (Barbara), Rita (Tim Brady), Laura (Dan Bottens) and Renee; four grandchildren: Justin James, Laurin (Tim Weicht), Rachel and Ryan and two great-grandchildren, Rylan and Adelyn.
He was preceded in death by wife, Rita Adele Blasier; parents and sister: Evelyn Blasier.
The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass will be offered for Laurin Blasier at St. Rose Catholic Church in Wilmington on Oct. 13, 2018 at 4:30 p.m.
