Marcia A. Wills

COAL CITY—Marcia A. Wills, 70, of Coal City, passed away Friday, Dec. 15, 2017 at Heritage Woods in Dwight.
She was born Jan. 30, 1947 in Morris, IL to Clarence “Shag” and Elsie (Miller) Thorsen. She was a member of the Coal City United Methodist Church and helped with funeral dinners for many years. Marcia loved motorcycles and belonged to the Brothers of Grundy ABATE. She enjoyed her “Furry Friends.” She also enjoyed visiting with her friends at Country Place Apartments: Laverne T., Sheila D., David V. and Debbie.
She is survived by her niece, Sheila (Raymond) Conrad, of Wilmington, IL; special cousin, Judy (Rick) Miller, of Coal City; great-nieces and great-nephews: Mandy (Kevin) Lawlar, of Homewood, IL; Ashley (Phil Dew) Flatness, of Seneca, IL; Larry “Bubba” (Alyssa Cogdal) Flatness, of Seneca, IL; Courtney (Timmy Hammen) Bays, of Mazon; Katie ( Michael ) Sinclair and Donnie Watson, both of North Carolina and Cassie and Amanda Watson, of Wisconsin; five great-great-nieces and nephews; her aunt, Jane Larson, of Dwight, IL and her uncle, Orville “Buck” (Marlene) Miller, of Coal City, IL and her special friend, Doug Taylor.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her son, Shane Joseph Vaughan in 1990 and her sister and brother-in law, Wanda and Wayne Watson and two nephews, Mickey and Roger Watson. She was also preceded by her “Furry Kids” as she called her dogs: Bullit, Chance and Murphy.
Cremation rites will be accorded.
A memorial funeral service will be held Wednesday, Dec. 20, 2017 at 5:30 p.m. at the Coal City United Methodist Church, 6805 E. McArdle Rd., Coal City, with Pastor Bradley Shumaker officiating.
