Tune up your culinary skills, sharpen your taste buds and get ready for the 8th Annual RC Cooks Scholarship Fundraiser event at High Point Golf Course in Essex.

Hosted by the Reed-Custer Education Association (RCEA), this culinary extravaganza will take place Saturday, Feb. 24, from 6-8 p.m.

RC Cooks is a community event where local cooks serve “tastes” of their favorite dishes. This fundraiser is sure to be a deliciously fun evening with food, door prizes, 50/50 and big raffle items.

The categories you will be sampling and voting for include appetizer, side dishes, main entrees and desserts! Trophies are awarded to each category winner at the end of the evening.

Tickets will be available for purchase at any of the Reed-Custer Attendance Centers and the Steven Hanks Administration Center from 7:30-4:00pm daily. Those looking to get their taste on should get tickets ASAP, as they are limited and based on a first come first purchase basis.

The proceeds from the event are used for scholarships awarded to the Class of 2018 Reed-Custer High School graduates.

All RCEA members, RC district employees and business and community members are invited to participate via cooking, being a sponsor, donating raffle and door prizes, or volunteering to assist that evening.

Space is limited and so are tickets. The cost to attend the event is $25.

RCEA members, business and community members are invited to TASTE, COOK and SPONSOR!  Call or email the RC Cooks Scholarship chairperson – Jamie Meyr, at jamie.meyr@rc255.net.
