Richard Jefferson

BRAIDWOOD— Richard A. Jefferson, 68, of Braidwood, and formerly Cicero, passed away following a long illness. Born Aug. 8, 1955 in Chicago, to the late Robert and Roberta Jefferson.
Ricky married Maria Pike on Dec. 28, 1985 in Maywood, IL. He was employed for Williams Awning and Chesterfield Awning as an awning technician for 30 years then worked as a truck driver for Quality Carriers for 10 years. He was a past member of the American Legion. Ricky loved his award winning one of a kind motorcycle, fishing, hunting, fixing things and was known to be a “Mr. Fix-It” Surviving are his wife, Maria Jefferson of Braidwood; daughter, Christina Jefferson of Braidwood; grandchild, Uriel Alex French; cousin, John Scaccia; niece, Tamra Pike; nephews, Carlos Pike, Nicholas Liuzzo; and brother and sister-in-law, Carlos (Claudia) Pike and Jacalyn (Christopher) Liuzzo-Malles.
Cremation rites have been accorded. Services will be private.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in his name may be directed to National Shrine of St. Jude, Chicago.
