Robert Wegforth

Robert Arthur Wegforth, 93, passed away on May 6, 2024.
Bob was the beloved husband of the late Ruth Wegforth (nee Peters) for 55 years and the late Dolores Wegforth (nee Nolan). A native of Chicago, he attended Calumet High School and graduated from Illinois Institute of Technology. He served in the US Army and was assigned to the Far East Command. He was President of Executives International, Inc., Senior Vice President of Drake Beam Morin Corporation, Manager of National Accounts, and other sales management and sales positions within a division of American Can Company. He was under contract in the Chicago White Sox organization as a pitcher. He served in various leadership roles at First Nazarene Church in Lemont.
Robert was the loving father of Robert S. (Debra), Gayl Jones (Ed) and John (Heidi); grandfather of Jennifer Brenner (Josh), Jessica Waldron (Chad), Shelby Wegforth, and Austin Wegforth (Mallory); great grandfather of Reign Winker, Rosie, Billy, Joey, Brittni, and Sage Brenner, Emalee, Joshua, and Jacob Cohen; Scotty Schmidt, and Henry Wegforth; great-great-grandfather of Samuel Miguel.
Bob was the cherished son of the late Ted and Arvilla Wegforth and loving brother of the late Edward Wegforth.
Visitation with the family will be held at First Nazarene Church, 12725 Bell Road in Lemont (firstnaz.cc), on Tuesday, May 21 from 4-8 p.m. in Cerrato Hall. The Celebration of Life Service will be on Wednesday, May 22 at 11 a.m. in the Sanctuary. The family will receive visitors starting at 10 a.m. A luncheon will immediately follow the service in Cerrato Hall.
Interment will be held at the Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Elwood, IL at a later date.
