Showcase to feature Tony nominee

Broadway's Adam Pascal is coming to the Coal City Performing Arts Center for a special performance with Coal City Theatre Department students and students from Bradley-Bourbonnais Community High School, Morris Community High School and Dwight High School.
The Coal City Theatre Department and the Megan Bugg Concert Series are excited to present “A Night on Broadway” Showcase, featuring Pascal on Nov. 21, at 7 p.m. The performing arts center is located at 655 W. Division St.
Pascal will spend the day working one-on-one with theatre students from across the area, providing educational insight and personal feedback in a workshop format.
Many attending students are aspiring professionals attending or seeking musical theatre college programs. The day will culminate with an open-to-the-public Student Showcase with special guest Pascal performing a few numbers from his past Broadway shows. It will also feature a special duet with Coal City High School junior Riley Nevin, who will be playing Radames in the Illinois High School All-State production of “Aida.”
The concert will conclude with a moving tribute performance you won't want to miss.
Pascal is best known for his role as Roger in “RENT,” which he originated both on Broadway and in the 2005 film. He has also starred on Broadway in “Aida” (Radames), “Cabaret” (Emcee), “Chess” (Freddie), “Chicago” (Billy), “Memphis” (Huey), “Disaster” (Chad), and most recently, “Something Rotten” (Shakespeare).
In addition to his numerous Broadway successes, Pascal has released two solo rock albums, “Model Prisoner” (2000), “Civilian” (2004), as well as a collaborative rock album “Blinding Light” (2008) with pianist Larry Edoff.
In television and film, he appeared in “RENT” (2005), “School of Rock” (2003), “Temptation” (2004), and “Cold Case” (2006).
Pascal also tours regularly performing sold-out solo concerts all around the country.
