Tara Trammel

COAL CITY— Tara Trammel, 32, of Coal City, and formerly of Clearwater Beach, FL and Lockport, IL, passed away Tuesday, March 17, 2020.
Born January 5, 1988 in Joliet, Tara was a daughter of Mark Carpenter, of Lockport, and the late Nellann Bales. She was raised in Lockport and attended Lockport Township High School before entering into the United States Army Reserves. Tara worked as a CNA in home healthcare, and enjoyed coaching both cheerleading and gymnastics. She loved being a mother, and enjoyed spending time outdoors with her son, Reid.
Survivors include her husband, Ian Trammel; one son, Reid; her father, Mark Carpenter; one brother, Cody Bales, of Coal City; her father-in-law and mother-in-law, John and Sherry Trammel, of Coal City; paternal grandmother Carole (Van) Johnson, of West Frankfort, IL; aunts and uncles: Dianna Bales (Rick Windom), of Minooka; Dennis (Diana) Bales, of Lockport; and Doug (Cheryl) Bales, of Joliet; and numerous cousins.
Tara was preceded in death by her mother Nellann in 2019.
A private family visitation and service were held at Reeves Funeral Home in Coal City with Reverend Brad Shumaker from Coal City United Methodist Church officiating.
Green flameless cremation rites were accorded following the services.
