William C. Quigley

WILMINGTON—Willliam C. Quigley, “Bill,” 92, of Wilmington passed away Friday, Dec. 21, 2018. He was the son of William L. and Hattie (Khron) Quigley.
Bill retired from Citgo Refinery after many years of dedicated service. He was a proud United States World War II Navy Veteran and was a member and former Commander of Lockport VFW Post #5788. Bill was an avid fisherman and hunter. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
Bill is survived by his devoted wife, Phyllis (nee: Bielec) Quigley; three sons: Michael (Theresa), Steve (Michele) and Greg (Sally) Quigley; two daughters, Lynn (Vic) Lenzi and Laura (Michael) Adkins; ten adored grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, step-daughters: Laurie (Ponch) Palacios, Kim (Andy) Zamora and Kay (John) Ventura. Numerous cherished step-grandchildren and great-grandchildren also survive.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife, Wilma (nee Cogwell) Quigley in 1991; two sons, Richard, in infancy and Bill Quigley Jr.
Everyone will meet at St. Rose Catholic Church, 634 S. Kankakee St., Wilmington on Friday, Dec. 28, 2018 at 10 a.m. for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will immediately follow at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood. Visitation will be Thursday, Dec. 27, 2018 in the O’Neil Funeral Home Chapel, 1105 E. 9th (159th) St., Lockport from 4 until 8 p.m.
