Wilmington downtown plan open house

The City of Wilmington will host a public open house for the draft of the Wilmington Downtown Plan on Tuesday, June 26. The open house will be held from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the Island Park District, 315 N. Water St.

Guided by over a year of community input, the plan will present a unified vision for the central business district and identify strategies to support economic growth, increase safety and connectivity, and engage local and regional partners in implementation efforts.

The open house will be an opportunity for members of the community to review the draft plan and provide feedback. 

The project team, including municipal staff and planning staff from the Chicago Metropolitan Agency for Planning (CMAP), will be available for one-on-one conversations about the plan's recommendations.

Local residents, business owners, community leaders and other interested stakeholders are encouraged to stop by at any time during the open house event. Those attending may arrive late or leave early.
