BRAIDWOOD—Barbara Ann Ray (nee Jones), 65, of Braidwood, passed away on May 19, 2023 at Ascension St. Joseph Medical Center in Joliet.
Born Jan. 9, 1958 in Chicago, she was the daughter of Dwight D. and Columbia Ophine (nee Thompson) Phillips. Barb attended Joliet East High School. She married Bobby E. Ray Sr. on June 12, 1999 at Pilcher Park in Joliet. She bartended for over 32 years, previously at Spivey's in Coal City. Barb enjoyed karaoke, designing jewelry, playing Yahtzee, and fund raising and organizing for the Moms of Military Prayer and Support Group.

MORRIS—Beverly Annette Tackett, 64 of Morris, passed away Wednesday, May 17, 2023, at Morris Hospital following a brief illness.
Born May 12, 1959, in Terre Haute, IN, Annette was a daughter of Paul Norton and Beverly (Whitkanack) Norton Hacker. She was raised in Mazon, graduated from MVK High School, and attended Judson University in Elgin, IL.

COAL CITY—Robert V. Ames of Coal City. On May 15th, Robert (Bob) Ames, passed away at the age of 75 surrounded by his wife, children, and grandchildren.
Bob was born to the late Victor and Eileen (O’Leary) Ames on June 24th, 1947 in Blue Island, IL. He was married to his wife, Jill, on June 21, 1969 after knowing her since the first grade. He later graduated from University of Illinois Chicago with a degree in Physics in December of 1969.
