WILMINGTON— Louis “Spike” Rodawold, 91 of Wilmington, passed away Thursday morning, August 13, 2020 at his home, surrounded by his loving family. Born January 9, 1929 in a farmhouse in Monee, IL, Louis August was a son of August and Margaret (nee Glenney) Rodawold. He was raised in Wilmington and furthered his education through his freshman year when he left to start his life journey in farming. In addition, Spike honorably served in the United States Army at Fort Dix and in Lumberton, NJ (1955-1956).

JOLIET—John Louis Cavallero, 81, passed away peacefully at home on Aug. 8, 2020 from existing health complications. Born June 9, 1939 in Potter County, PA, he was the son of John B. Cavallero and Carmen B. Cavallero (nee Pagano).

MAZON—Brian Biros, 61, of Mazon, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, Aug. 8, 2020 at his home.
Born Oct. 13, 1958 in Morris, Brian Stephan was a son of Vincent and Alice (nee Debelak) Biros Sr. He was raised and educated in Mazon, and graduated from Mazon High School with the class of 1976. On Nov. 20, 1999, Brian married Ann Renae Koehler in Pierce, NE. Together, they would make their home in Mazon and raise their daughter.

JACKSONVILLE, FL— Donald E. Berta, 75, passed away August 6, 2020 at the Community Hospice Care Center in Jacksonville, FL.
Donnie, as those who knew him called him, grew up in Coal City, Illinois. After graduating Coal City High School in 1963, he spent four years in the U.S. Navy and served on the USS Princeton. He married Junie in February 1967. Residing in Coal City, Donnie spent his career with Illinois Bell and later AT&T.

WILMINGTON— R. Ray Schumacher, 89, of Wilmington, passed away Wednesday, August 5, 2020 at his home.
Born July 16, 1931 in Lovington, IL, Rollie Ray was a son of Rollie and Bernice (French) Schumacher. He was a Veteran of the United States Air Force and honorably served during the Korean Conflict. Ray loved being with his grandchildren and working in the yard. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother.

Morris— Marjorie L. Glenn, 86, of Morris, passed away Tuesday evening, August 4, 2020 at her home.
Born August 6, 1933 in Morris, Marjorie Louise was a daughter of William L. and Florence Wilma (McArdle) Blake. She was raised and educated in Mazon and graduated from Mazon High School with the Class of 1951. On July 5, 1952 Marjorie married Walter Eugene Glenn in Verona, and he preceded her in death in May 1998. Marjorie worked for the United States Postal Service and was a rural carrier in Coal City for 22 years.

WILMINGTON— Gregory Dennis, 61, of Wilmington, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, July 31, 2020 at Essentia Health St. Mary's Medical Center in Duluth, MN as a result of injuries sustained in an ATV accident.

BRACEVILLE— Barbara Jean Ballenger (nee Albritton), 92, of Braceville, passed away after a brief illness in her sleep surrounded by her children on Wednesday, August 5, 2020 at her home.
Barbara was born March 28, 1928 in Monticello, IL, to the late Jack and Coleta (nee Hubbard) Albritton.
She moved to Clinton, IL with her mother and step-father soon to be joined by two brothers, Robert Lynn and James. She married George H. Ballenger on March 13, 1948 in Clinton, IL. They eventually moved to Braceville, IL in 1979.
