WILMINGTON—Frances Ruth Strobel, 80, of Wilmington, passed away Thursday, Nov. 12, 2020 at Riverside Medical Center in Kankakee.
Douglas E. Strobel, 79, of Wilmington, passed away Monday, Dec. 7, 2020 at Riverside Medical Center in Kankakee.
The family will receive friends for a graveside service for both Doug and Fran on Friday, June 25, 2021 at 11 a.m. in Mount Olivet Cemetery, 36000 Cemetery Rd. in Braidwood. Doug and Fran's son, Rev. Scott Strobel will officiate.

MINOOKA—Diana (Reyes) Lewis, 81, of Minooka, formerly of Joliet and Goose Lake, passed away Sunday, June 20, 2021 at her home.
Born Nov. 4, 1939 in Joliet, Diana was a daughter of Moises and Juanita (Ortiz) Reyes. She was raised and educated in Joliet, and graduated from Joliet Township High School with the class of 1957. On Aug. 4, 1965, Diana married William S. Lewis at Saint Mary’s Carmelite Catholic Church in Joliet and together they resided in Joliet until moving to Goose Lake in 1986.

COAL CITY—Lorna Paulsen, 87, a resident of 50 years in Coal City, passed away on Saturday, June 19, 2021 with loving family by her side.
Lorna was born March 13, 1934 in Iowa. She graduated from Louis Town High School in Missouri. Lorna married Clarence “Bogie” Paulsen, of Iowa and relocated with five children to Coal City. Their children are daughters, Lori Peterson (Dave) and Diana Paulsen and sons: Craig (Jodie), Brad and Dirk Paulsen (Jane) with numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

DAWSON, IL—Sharon B. Owens (nee Toler), 71, of Dawson, IL, passed away Thursday, June 17, 2021 at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield, IL.
Born July 29, 1949 in Springfield, she was the daughter of John and Betty L. (nee Harrell) Toler. Sharon worked for Walmart in Springfield for many years. She enjoyed camping and traveling to many different places to find the best fishing lakes with her longtime partner, Robert. She also had a wonderful bond with her son, Brian and loved spending time with him and his family.

CHICO, TX—Donna Jo Pena (Bates/nee Frederick), 72, of Chico, TX passed away Thursday, June 17, 2021 at Wise Health System in Decatur, TX.
Born Feb. 15, 1949 in Joliet, she was the daughter of Robert and Dorothy (nee Lewis) Frederick. Donna retired from the Illinois Department of Motor Vehicles as a driver's license instructor. She married Antonio Pena June 5, 1995 in Eureka, AR and soon after they made their home in Texas. She greatly enjoyed attending the Cowboy Church in Houston, TX and also loved horseback riding and collecting American Indian décor and memorabilia.

She was born Oct. 11, 1984 in Blue Island, IL. Sarah was an outgoing individual who made friends easily. She had a passion for music and enjoyed making people laugh. Sarah will be remembered for her mischievous nature and always living life to the fullest.

BRACEVILLE—Don Harvey, 75, of Braceville, passed away Sunday, June 13, 2021 at Loyola Medical Center in Maywood.
Born May 30, 1946 in Morris, Donald Duane was a son of George and Mary (Poppleton) Harvey. He was raised in Braceville and graduated from Gardner South Wilmington High School with the class of 1964. Don honorably served in the United States Air Force and was stationed in England during the Vietnam Conflict. During that time he also met Jacquline Markwell who he went on to marry July 26, 1969.

WILMINGTON—Phyllis “Jean” Mahoney (Barber), 88, of Wilmington, passed away peacefully at her home on June 10, 2021 under the care of hospice.
She was born Sept. 1, 1932 in Norwalk, CT to Phillip and Edna Girouard, moving shortly after her birth to Leominster, MA where she spent the first years of her life and attended school. Jean’s first job was at a plastic and molding factory “Plastermatic” in Leominster. Jean had an excellent work ethic and held jobs throughout her life including Echo Flint Factory, Personal Products and the city of Wilmington.
