BRAIDWOOD—Gerald Lee Greminger, 77, of Braidwood, passed away Monday, April 4, 2022 at Loyola University Medical Center in Chicago, IL.
Surviving are his wife, Karen (nee Strege) Greminger, of Braidwood; two children, Jason Greminger, of Braidwood and Kerry (Justin) Dexter of Oswego; grandson, Jerald Jay Dexter; two brothers, Gene Greminger, of Lockport and Dennis Greminger, of Maynardville, TN; brother-in-law, Richard Michniewicz, of Lockport and numerous nieces, nephews, and their families.

WILMINGTON—Linda Ann Bland, 70, of Wilmington, passed away peacefully at her home on Thursday, March 31, 2022.
Born March 26, 1952 on Lackland AFB in San Antonio, TX, Linda was a daughter of David and Connie (Ramirez) Spellman, of Anniston, AL. Growing up in a military family, Linda moved with the family regularly and graduated from Leilehua High School in Wahiawa Oahu, Hawaii with the class of 1970. She went on to earn a BA in education, Master’s Degree in reading, as well as a second Master’s Degree in administration later in her career, all at Lewis University.

WILMINGTON—Lloyd Maglone, 79, of Wilmington, passed away Wednesday, March 30, at Park Pointe Healthcare & Rehab Center.
Lloyd was born Jan. 11, 1943, in Clay City, IL, to William and Bertha (Straley) Maglone. He married Doreen Berkland on Feb. 9, 1979 in Ottawa. He retired from ADM as a tow port engineer. He and he wife owned and operated Doreen’s Tap in Seneca. Lloyd was a member of Shadow Lakes Fishing Club.

SAUNEMIN—Teresa K. Boward, 64, of Saunemin passed away Tuesday, March 29, 2022 at her home surrounded by family. Born July 29, 1957 in Portsmouth, OH, Teresa Kay was a daughter of Frederick and Mabel (nee Elkins) Dickison. She attended Joliet Junior College and completed her Associates Degree in Horticulture. Teresa was a past member of the Wilmington Church of Christ and currently attended the Pontiac Church of Christ. She was employed by Trinity Services in Wilmington, and also enjoyed making wedding cakes and floral designs for many weddings.

COAL CITY—Scott J. Durando, “Bagger,” 54, of Coal City, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 27, 2022 at his home with his mother by his side, who was his constant cheerleader and caregiver during his 18 month battle with cancer.

CUSTER PARK— Elda Mae Hackl (nee Von Alven), 87, of Custer Park, passed away Wednesday, March 23, 2022 at Beecher Manor in Beecher, IL. Born Nov.18, 1934 in Chicago Heights, IL to the late Harry and Mearl (nee Selk) Von Alven, Sr. Elda married Edward Joseph Hackl, Jr. Aug. 7, 1954 in Sollitt, IL. They settled in Custer Park, IL where they raised their three children. Elda was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church in Bonfield, IL. She previously worked for City National Bank in Kankakee, for many years. Elda loved flowers, baking, and was an avid Chicago Bulls fan.

WILMINGTON—Ken Youngquist, 61, of Wilmington, formerly of Diamond, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, March 17, 2022 at AMITA St. Joseph Medical Center in Joliet.
Born Sept. 15, 1960 in Lombard, Kenneth Allen was a son of Dolores (nee Rinehart) and Robert Youngquist. He was raised and educated in Joliet and graduated from Joliet West High School with the class of 1978. On May 5, 1979 Ken married Carla Colognesi, and together they lived and raised their family in Diamond.
