GODLEY—Timothy  M. Hartley, 54, of Godley, passed away Sunday, April 5, 2020.
He was born on Dec. 31, 1965 in Joliet to James and Margaret Hartley. He grew up in the middle of six children and attended Lockport High School. Timothy, worked as a CDL driver and other various jobs. He became a father in October of 1988.

PONTIAC—David Howard Schott, 77, of Pontiac passed away Saturday, April 25, 2020 at Accolade Healthcare in Pontiac. He was born July 2, 1942 to Howard and Mabel (Branz) Schott in Pontiac. He married Judy Drury on March 3, 1961 at the First Lutheran Church in Pontiac.

WILMINGTON— Jim “Jimmy” Chaney, 57, of Wilmington passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 15, 2020, at his home with his wife and children by his side after a courageous battle with cancer.
Born December 28, 1962 in Joliet, James Ronald was the son of Ronald Chaney and Maureen (nee Sharp) Chaney. He was raised and educated in Wilmington, and graduated from Wilmington High School with the Class of 1981. Jimmy was an HVAC installer his entire career and for the past eleven years owned and operated Chaney Heating and Air.

MISSOURI— Ellen I. Allen, 86, of Huggins, MO and formerly of Morris and Wilmington, passed away Wednesday afternoon, April 15, 2020 at Life Care Center in Waynesville, Missouri.
Born December 31, 1933 in Joliet, Ellen was a daughter of Thomas R. and Yvette (Boutet) Stott. She was raised and educated in Morris and graduated from Morris Community High School.

COAL CITY— Margaret L. Atteberry, 94, of Coal City, passed away peacefully at her home on Wednesday morning, April 15, 2020, surrounded by her family.
Margaret was born May 11, 1925 in Anthony, KS, a daughter of Clem and Lydia (Robinette) Fisher. She married Roy Atteberry on December 30th, 1944. She worked as a bakery manager for 30 years at Jewel-Osco in the Joliet, Crest Hill and Plainfield locations. Margaret was a thoughtful, loving and caring person. She was devoted to her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She liked watching TV and enjoyed her sweets.

BRAIDWOOD—Norma “Caroll” Sarnowski, 60, of Braidwood, formerly of Wilmington and Springfield, passed away Sunday, April 5, 2020 at the University of Chicago Bernard Mitchell Hospital in Chicago.
Born March 29, 1960 in Lawrenceville, IL, Caroll was a daughter of Asberry and Nancy A. (Mansfield) Brown Jr. She was raised in Wilmington and attended Wilmington Schools. On Sept. 19, 1992, Caroll married Stephen James Sarnowski in the backyard of their home. In her spare time, Caroll enjoyed music and playing the guitar.

WILMINGTON—Lila Mae (Mullins) Lockwood, 89, of Wilmington, passed away Monday, April 13, 2020 at the Miller Rehabilitation Center in Kankakee.
She was born July 20, 1930 in Custer Township to Chester and Mary (nee Cooper) Mullins. Lila enjoyed golfing, playing cards and refereeing girls sports when Title IX was passed in the 1970’s. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Wilmington where she served as a deacon for many years.
