WILMINGTON—Alice I. Ziller, 69, of Wilmington, formerly of Custer Park, passed away Thursday, Oct. 22, 2020 at Silver Cross Hospital. Born Jan. 30, 1951 in Joliet, Alice Irene was a daughter of Orville and Irene (nee Sharper) Ziller. She was raised and educated in Wilmington and graduated from Wilmington High School with the class of 1970. Alice later completed her Library Technical Assistant certification program at Joliet Junior College, and gained employment with the Wilmington School District where she would work for 46 years until her retirement in 2016.

ESSEX—Steven Clayton Neese, 52, of Essex, formerly of Wilmington, fought valiantly against the devastating implications that cancer left behind and he eventually passed away on Wednesday, Oct. 21, 2020 at Riverside Medical Center in Kankakee.

ORLAND PARK— Sola, Terri L. (Nee Johnson), 66, of Orland Park, passed away Oct. 20, 2020.
Her family was her life. Terri loved shopping for presents for her grandchildren. She was happiest enjoying a meal with her family, laughing, and talking, with her dogs Gigi and Peanut snuggled up nearby.

WILMINGTON—Phyllis LaVerne Milton, 91, of Wilmington, and formerly of Chicago, Symerton and Ritchie, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 20, 2020 at her home.
Born Nov. 23, 1928 in Chicago, Phyllis was the daughter of John and Victoria (Surovic) Kamis. She was raised and educated in Chicago and graduated Class Valedictorian from Jones Commercial High School. On Aug. 27, 1949 Phyllis married Wayne Conrad Milton, and together they made their home and raised their family in the Wilmington area.

Billie G. Daniels, age 91, of Coal City, IL. passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family on Friday, October 16, 2020 at the Joliet Area Community Hospice Home.
He was born on July 30, 1929 in Kirksville, MO. to Earl and Lucille (nee McCormick) Daniels. His family moved to Gardner when Bill was a small boy, then to Braceville where he graduated from Braceville Grade School. He then attended Gardner-South Wilmington High School, graduating with the class of 1949.

Charles J. Butcher

WILMINGTON—Charles J. Butcher, 69, of Wilmington, passed away unexpectedly and alongside his canine companion, Sammy, as the result of a motor vehicle accident on Oct. 12, 2020.
Born Oct. 28, 1950 in Joliet, Charles James was a son of James and Thelma (Plager) Butcher. He was raised and educated in Wilmington, and went on to honorably serve in the United States Navy. On June 12, 1982, Charles married Catherine “Cathy” Hooper, and together they made their family and raised their three daughters in Wilmington.

WISCONSIN—Patricia A. Schmetter, 84, of Elkhorn, WI, and formerly of Wilmington passed away Saturday, Oct. 10, 2020 at Ridgestone Gardens of Elkhorn, WI. Patricia was born on May 28, 1936, daughter of Francis and Rita (Kennedy) Bell. She married Dr. Roger Louis Schmetter on Oct. 15, 1960. He has since past in 1985. Patricia worked at many different places in her younger years, where for a time she was a dental hygienist for her husband and also a bookkeeper.
