GARDNER—Lorraine Carol Hansen (nee. Freeland), 95, passed away peacefully on July 6, 2024, at her home in Gardner surrounded by family.
Lorraine was born in Morris to Annita and Arling Freeland on April 12, 1929. She lived in Gardner most of her life. She was a graduate of Gardner-South Wilmington High School in 1947. In 1948, she married Bobby C. Hansen in the United Lutheran Parsonage in Gardner.

WASHINGTON ISLAND, WI— Mary Esther Peterson-Bever, 96, of Washington Island, WI passed away at 11:18 a.m., Sunday, June 30, 2024, at her daughter’s home in Monroe City, MO. Graveside Services will be held at a later date at Mount Hope Cemetery in Enterprise KS. Mary was born Nov. 23, 1927, in Chapman, KS, to Arthur Edward Peterson and Grace Esther Picking Peterson. She was married to Dorvin Hugh Bever on Nov. 23, 1948, in Enterprise, KS. He preceded her in death on Feb. 21, 2008.

WILMINGTON—Felicia L. Alberico, 76, of Wilmington, passed away Sunday, June 30, 2024 at Ascension St. Joseph Medical Center in Joliet.
Born Sept. 20, 1947 in Springfield, TN, Felicia Lane was a daughter of William Moore and Hilda Marie (Hayes) Nunley. She was raised in Wilmington and graduated from Wilmington High School with the class of 1965. On Feb. 14, 1976, Felicia married John Thomas Alberico, and Tom preceded her in death in 2004.

SOUTH WILMINGTON—Lester William Rury, 83, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Wednesday, June 26, 2024 at his home in South Wilmington.
Lester was born on May 13, 1941 in Sparta, IL to his parents, Marby and Paul Rury. He graduated from Gardner-South Wilmington High School with the class of 1959. He met his future wife, Karen, in high school and they were married Nov. 4, 1961. They share five children: Carina, Chris, Craig, Curt and Collette.

GODLEY—Daniel G. Butler, 64, of Godley, passed away unexpectedly of a heart condition at Morris Hospital, on June 18, 2024.
Dan, AKA Car Show Dan, always had a passion for cars and shared this through restoring vintage cars, being a member of multiple car clubs and participating in numerous car shows. Also, he was a Trustee at the Village of Godley for twenty years and involved in the Route 66 Preservation Team.

MORRIS—Janet Lynn Struck (nee Schock), 62, of Morris, passed away peacefully at her home on June 25, 2024 with her family surrounding her side after a courageous battle with cancer.
Janet was born in Joliet on March 22, 1962 to the late George and Annette Schock (nee Zambon). She was raised and educated in Coal City and graduated with the class of 1980.

BURBANK—Rebecca Sue "Becky" Bishop-Miller, 78, late of Burbank, and formerly of Joliet, Orland Park and Manteno, passed away on Tuesday, June 18, 2024 at Burbank Rehabilitation Center, with her family by her side.
Born along with a twin sister on Dec. 24, 1945 in Chillicothe, OH, she was the daughter of Frederick R. and Juanita (Davidson) Sigrist, and was a graduate of Jackson High School, in Jackson, OH, with the class of 1963. She later attended Columbus Business College in Columbus, OH.

ESSEX—Jacob Ryan Bunting, 31, of Essex, passed away suddenly on June 24, 2024 due to injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
Jake was born July 6, 1992 in Morris. He was currently employed as a maintenance mechanic for Manhattan Mechanical. He loved every outdoor hobby; especially hunting, fishing and off-roading on his 4-wheeler. His pride and joy was his niece, Madi Bunting. Jake was a family man that enjoyed spending time with friends.
