Beverly Kazmier

WILMINGTON—Beverly Ann Kazmier, 83, of Wilmington, formerly of Chicago, passed away Thursday, Feb. 4, 2021 at Riverside Miller Rehabilitation in Kankakee.
Born March 7, 1937 in Chicago, Beverly was a daughter of Frank and Margaret (Hinks) Schuette. She was raised and educated in Chicago and graduated from Washburne Technical High School with the class of 1955. She raised her family with her first husband, the late James Coleman, in Skokie, and worked as a secretary for an athlete agency and later LIVCO Trailer Leasing. While her children were young, Beverly also worked as a beautician serving the neighborhood that she lived in.
She retired in 2001 and relocated to Wilmington to be closer to her children and grandchildren and became a member of the First United Methodist Church in Wilmington. Beverly enjoyed knitting and crocheting; was an avid reader, and was well known for her baking talents, especially her pies.
Survivors include her children: Lynn (Lodi) Vercelli and James (Nan) Coleman, both of Wilmington; five grandchildren: Jake (Andrea) Vercelli, of Shorewood; Gina (Dennis) Morgan, of Wilmington; Tony (Christie) Vercelli, of Tinley Park; Vince (Lisa) Vercelli, of New Lenox and Sarah Coleman, of Champaign; 10 great-grandchildren: Maddy, Angela, Luke, Cooper, Greyson, Leonard, Lodi, Maddux, Emilia, and Antonio; one brother, John (Andrea) Deg, of Highland Park; sister-in-law, Cyndi Schuette, of Riverside; two brothers-in-law: Skip Heed, of Algonquin and Joe (JoAnne) Ignoffo, of Naples, Florida, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Beverly was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband, James Coleman in 1982; her second husband, William Kazmier in 2001; one grandson, Brian Coleman and two brothers and two sisters: Marilyn Ignoffo, Frank Schuette II, Edwin Schuette and Deb Heed.
Per Beverly’s wishes, cremation rites have been accorded, and a graveside service will be held at a later date in Oakwood Cemetery, Wilmington.
