Charges pending after late night fight

A 21-year-old West Chicago man was cut on the arm early Sunday morning after being involved in a physical altercation with a 20-year-old Wilmington man in a parking area on the 200 block of North Water Street. A 41-year-old Braidwood woman was also involved in the altercation.
Witnesses told officers of the Wilmington Police Department that when the physical altercation between the three ended, the 21-year-old got off the ground and realized that he had been cut.
When the police arrived, the 20-year-old fled, but was apprehended a short time later. Police also found a knife near the scene.
The 21-year-old man and 41-year-old woman were transported to Presence St. Joseph Medical Center in Joliet for treatment of injuries.
At this time, the Wilmington Police Department is not releasing the names of the persons involved because the investigation is ongoing and charges are pending.
Updates to the case are forthcoming and will be released as soon as possible.
