Daniel Dillon

ESSEX—Daniel Steven Dillon, 30, of Essex, formerly of Braidwood, passed away on Tuesday, Sept. 5, 2023 following a long and arduous battle with addiction and substance abuse.
He was born Nov. 2, 1992 in Palos Heights, IL. Danny was educated in Reed-Custer Schools in Braidwood, graduating with the class of 2011. He was a union carpenter by trade.
Surviving are his son, Liam James Dillon; devoted parents, Daniel and Charita (nee Moret) Dillon, of Essex; brother, Jamie Hinich, of Albert Lea, MN; sister, Erin Hinich, of Knoxville, TN and aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Leroy and Verna (nee Kroese) Moret; paternal grandparents, Peter Dillon and Alice Dillon; and beloved nephew, James Leroy Hinich.
Prayerfully thankful that Danny is free from the isolation, loneliness and despair of addiction and finding comfort in the arms of God which he couldn't find here on earth.
Cremation rites will be accorded. Private services will be held.
