Gerald Koehler

JOLIET—Gerald (Ged) Austin Koehler, of Joliet, 57, passed away surrounded by loved ones Wednesday, March 15, 2023 at Ascension St. Joseph Medical Center in Joliet.
Family was everything to Ged. There was nothing he enjoyed more than spending time with those he loved. Ged found the good in anyone no matter the circumstance. Everyone who was blessed to know him knows the kindness in his heart- he would give anyone his last two dollars, his shirt off his back, or go hungry to feed someone else. He loved an iced cold yuengling, a moped ride, watching sports, and going fishing. In any situation he was there to remind everyone “it's all good.”
Ged is survived by soul mate, Bobbi Adams; his sons: Raymond Koehler, Joshua (Shayna) Adams, Brent (Ashley) Adams, Christopher Morris and Joey (Elizabeth) Hulbert; his mother, Thalia Koehler; father, Raymond Koehler; two sisters, Chantel (Anthony) Sefcik and Michel (Willie) Koehler and two brothers, Clifton (Nika) Koehler and Dodd Koehler. He is also survived by his paternal grandmother, Betty Koehler; grandkids: Faithanne Koehler, Ethan Adams, Nolyn Adams, Xaidrien Adams, Jazzlyn Adams, Skylar Adams, Devin Malaniphy and Lilian Hulbert, numerous nieces and nephews, and so many cousins.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandma, Thelma Anderson; uncle, Frankie Anderson; aunt, Judy Handren and Grandpa Roy Koehler.
