Traci Tyler
BRACEVILLE—Traci Lynn Tyler (nee Winchell), 60, of Braceville, passed away suddenly, Tuesday, Jan. 5, 2021 at Riverside Medical Center in Kankakee with family by her side.
She was born July 26, 1960 in Morris and grew up in South Wilmington. She was a lifelong resident of the South Wilmington, Gardner, Braceville area. Traci married Dale Tyler on Aug. 8, 1998 at the Braceville United Methodist Church. They lived in Gardner for a few years with their two sons, Patrick Winchell and Kevin Winchell. The family then moved to Braceville, where they lived for the last 15 years. Traci held many jobs through the years, and became sort of a jack-of-all-trades. Her passions were poker, where she could hold her own at any table, especially Texas Hold-Em, and pool leagues. Many a laugh and wonderful times were had with “her girls” on Thursday night BCA and ACS and those of you who knew her will vouch for her heart of gold, and if you were in need, she would be the first one by your side. Her infectious laugh will forever be missed by all.
Traci is survived by her husband, Dale Tyler; son, Patrick (Megan) Winchell and their two daughters, who were the light of her life, Vanna Winchell and Emme Winchell; son, Kevin Winchell; sisters, Terri (Jim) Schultz and Tommi (Robert) Sorensen; brothers, Joe (Cindy) Winchell and Dan (Lynnette) Winchell and many special aunts and uncles. Also surviving are brother-in-law, Karl (Karla) Tyler; sister-in-law, Lynn (Lindy) Hahn; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Janis Winchell.
Visitation will be at the R.W. Patterson Funeral Home on Thursday, Jan. 7, 2021 from 4-7 p.m. Funeral services will be private. Cremation rites will be accorded following services. All attendees are required to wear face coverings, follow social distancing guidelines, and due to the capacity requirements, please be brief with your condolences to allow other guests to pay their final respects. If you’re feeling under the weather please don’t feel obligated to come. We know Dale and the family are in your thoughts.
