The stay-at-home order put in place by Gov. JB Pritzker in March will stick around until May 30, but with modifications.
The governor announced the changes last week.
One key change that could be a welcome one for folks itching to get outdoors is the plan to reopen some state parks for limited activities starting Friday, May 1.
The change will allow residents to visit select state parks, recreation areas, fish and wildlife areas and trails, provided visitors comply with social distancing guidelines and other COVID-19 best practices.
