The first step to understanding civic duty is getting involved.
The city of Braidwood spent one day last month engaging some of the younger members of the community, letting some 8th graders from Reed-Custer Middle School take the reins for a day.
The second annual turnabout day was held on Tuesday, April 25. Selected middle school students got the opportunity to spend the day with city leaders, and see what life is like for elected and appointed officials.
